"The commission staff reported that each of the Saudi flights "was investigated by the FBI and dealt with in a professional manner prior to its departure." The staff said that 22 people on the bin Laden flight were interviewed by the FBI and that the FBI checked databases for information on the passengers. The commission said none of the passengers was on the terrorist watch list."

"The Bin Ladin flight and other flights we examined were screened in accordance with policies set by FBI headquarters
and coordinated through working-level interagency processes. Michael Rolince interview (June 9, 2004).
Although most of the passengers were not interviewed [les 142 passagers des 6 vols partis entre le 14 et 24 septembre 2011], 22 of the 26 people on the Bin Ladin flight were interviewed by the FBI. Many were asked detailed questions. None of the passengers stated that they had any recent
contact with Usama Bin Ladin or knew anything about terrorist activity."

"Craig Unger, author of the book House of Bush, House of Saud, publishes the flight manifest during the same week as the 9/11 Commission’s final report is released, and this list contains 29 names (including the three security personnel), not 26. [Craig Unger website, 7/22/2004] The 2005 book Al-Qaeda Will Conquer by Guillaume Dasquié also makes note of this three-person discrepancy."
